Whoever Is In Front Of You

W

Is more significant than whoever is behind you or beside you. Whoever you’re following is more important than whoever is following behind you or partnering beside you. Your guide is the single most important person in the equation.

Everyone follows someone. That’s leadership 101.

Take your eyes off of that person and focus too intently and for too long on those behind or beside you and you’re likely to get off course. One day you’re likely to stop and say, “Wait a sec! Where are we? How did we get here?” There’s nothing more fear-inducing and discouraging than thinking you were heading in the right direction, only to find out you weren’t really after all.

Because you took your eyes off of whoever was in front of you.

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Deuteronomy 31:8

Christians follow the Lord. That’s Christian leadership 101.
