Sometimes some people talk about believing as if it’s the easiest thing in the world. Like it’s as natural as breathing. And some days I agree with them.
But some days my soul feels asthmatic. As if each breath of faith must be fought for while trying not to panic.
If you aim to believe long-term, hard work is simply how it’s done. There’s just no other way. It requires the same things that any kind of hard requires: Grit. Determination. Humility. Flexibility. Teachability. Transformation. Sacrifice. Suffering. Support. Encouragement.
If you try to believe really hard and wake up sore the next morning, I’m willing to bet you’re doing something right.
