An abstract calling will only sustain you so long. A concrete calling will give you roots that can weather the storms of years of ministry.
An abstract calling is general, vague, not tied down to a place or a people. A concrete calling is specific to a place or a people. “I am called to be a pastor” is different than “I am called to pastor these people in this place.”
This is what you’d call “incarnational.”
