There Are Wild Horses On The Outer Banks Of North Carolina

That don’t need to evacuate when a hurricane is coming. 

They have a plan. A 500 year-old plan. When their spidey senses start tingling because the changes in the atmosphere tell them a storm is coming, they head for the hills. 

Literally. 

There are groves of old, giant oak trees up on the high ground. The wild horses gather together under the protection of the oaks and huddle tightly tightly together with their butts to the wind. Together, they can ride out storms just like they always have.

Many people scatter when storms come. Fear makes them do irrational things. Unsafe things. Especially people with out a herd.

Everyone needs a herd.
