So it was with Jesus. He said he was the bread that came down from heaven. Others said that wasn’t possible because they knew he was a human being who came from human parents.
Yes, this story reveals a lot about who Jesus was, and still is: The one who came down from heaven to satisfy the hunger of the entire world.
This story also reveals a lot about who these other people were, and who we also are: People who are easily deceived by appearances.
