The Resurrection doesn’t need us to defend it. Jesus doesn’t need us to stick up for him. Other people—unbelievers, doubters, skeptics, whoever—don’t need us to convince them.
There is inherent power in simply telling the story of Jesus. In being witnesses rather than lawyers. In saying “Here’s what I know…” rather than “Here’s why you should believe me…”
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure.

The most life-giving and wondrous things in life are often those that we struggle to wrap our minds around or rationally explain. The best stories are often those that excite our imaginations and leave us with a sense of awe. Sometimes when we explain something we suck the life out of it.
Like when you have to explain a joke to someone—it’s really not funny then. Just tell the joke, trust that it’s funny, and give it time to sink in to the person listening.
