Because you and I are not static.
Because life is not static.
Because time is not static.
Because the seasons are not static.
Because relationships are not static.
Because society is not static.
Because culture is not static.
Because history is not static.
Because creation is not static.
Because the Creator is not static.
Because faith is trust, and trust has to do with all that is given to change and is evasive of our control.
Religion can be static. Theology can be static. Dogma can be static. Practices can be static. We can try our darndest to make just about anything static.
But not faith.
Faith is dynamic. A wonderfully mysterious and ever-evolving understanding of and engagement with all that is alive.
