Glory is that quality of someone or something that attracts attention. Glory demands to be noticed. Glory causes eyes to grow wide, jaws to drop, and voices to gasp.
We all respond to glory. It’s a human reflex. Like when you see people pulled over on the side of the highway, phones out, pointed up at a double rainbow.
We all give glory. It’s a human compulsion. Like when people can’t stop talking about that magnificent play during last night’s game.
The task of the Christian is to notice how we respond to who’s glory, and whose glory we reflect back out into the world. Even rainbows and amazing athleticism are worth of glory, and can even be manifestations of God’s glory. His glory can be found anywhere at anytime. Thankfully.
